Schedule for Week of 19 December:
Monday, 19 December: Complete assignment for CITR Chapters 8-10. Refer to the handout on the writing of the discussion question. Your response MUST be at least 4 to 6 sentences! Furthermore, you must include at LEAST FOUR POST-IT Notes with page numbers clearly indicated on each "sticky-note" . This is NOT optional-you must ATTACH the notes on a separate sheet of paper or on the reverse side of your discussion question. Do not forget the heading and the vocabulary word defined and a sentence using that vocabulary word.
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: All assignments must be word-processed/typed-no exceptions and/or excuses-you have ample time to comply with this directive.
Please Note: The Paragraph/Quotation Assignment and the SAT Vocabulary tests for both Bands will be due on Thursdays and the test given on that day as well. I will NOT accept any late assignments and you will NOT be permitted to make-up any past-due assignments during 37 1/2 minutes.
The CITR reading assignments for Chapters 11-13 and Chapters 14-16 will be due by the end of the week. Specific dates will be announced in class on Monday, 19 December.
Please Note: I added +20 to everyone's quiz score for Chapters 1-7. Needless to say, I was disappointed by the results. Subsequently, you will be given a "surprise" quiz over the assigned readings for this week-you will not know in advance when this will take place. If anyone missed this quiz, you must make it up during 37 1/2 minutes on Monday, 19 December. (Only if you present a "legimate" absence note.)
For this week, we will discuss CITR and practice for the NYS English Regents.
