The Research Process Begins...
Please Note: Prior to reading our next literary selection (Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird) AFTER A Streetcar Named Desire, you will engage in the process of RESEARCH. I have already included resources on this blog, but do not worry, we will literally take "baby steps" in the process of writing a research paper. However, you will begin researching your assigned topic beginning the week of 31 January! Also, although you may think that you will be working collaboratively with others on this project by reading what appears below-that is not the case! It is ONLY at the very end that you and others assigned to the GROUP will present your research. Once you open-up a link- you will discover that with-in each GROUP-there are specific research questions (all unrelated-to some degree) for each group member. This will become clearer as soon as we meet together during the week of 31 January.

NOTE: You will be randomly assigned to each "sub-set" of questions designated for each group. It is ONLY after you have completed YOUR research that you will assemble together to present in-front of the classroom.

ATTENTION "JUNIOR/SOPH!": WOW! What a performance Friday Night-I was sitting on the edge of my seat from the second you appeared on stage. I was thrilled to see so many of my students displaying their "awesome" talents-singing-acting-dancing...Thank you! Regardless of the "judges'" decision, you are the "winner" in my heart...in my heart you are the "winner"... (Name that rhetorical device)

PLEASE NOTE: According to a directive, tests scheduled for Thursday and Friday of this week must be "put-on hold". Hence, a CITR evaluation will not be administered. However, you will write an "essay" -HINT: It is related to the poster displayed on the bulletin board in the front of the classroom.

Schedule for Week of 16 January

NOTE: You will NOT have to complete the next Quotation/Paragraph assignment for this week NOR will you be given a SAT Vocabulary Test. Spend the time reviewing the literary selections in preparation for the NYS English Regents on Tuesday, 24 January. Refer to the links that I have posted below.

Furthermore, do not attempt to place a "past-due" assignment in the class folder on my desk. I place an "empty" folder on the teacher's desk every day so I am well aware when someone does this. It will not count! You know my policy on late homework assignments and on what you must due if you are absent when an assignment is due!
