Bring your novel everyday your class meets this week.
Thursday: Vocabulary Test: Word Power Chapters 10-12
NOTE: A study guide will be distributed in class on Thursday that will be due on Monday, 2 April. If you are absent on Thursday, make sure you pick-up the assignment on Friday before you leave the building.

Schedule for Week of 19 March:
This week we will begin our study of Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton. Periodic assignments will be given to ensure your understanding of this text. These assignments will include both individual and group activities (some students may be assigned to complete the activities independently...).
We will read and discuss the Prologue through Chapter 2 as a class. You will read Chapter 3 for Monday, 26 March. Upon entering the classroom, you will be given a TEN question "short" answer quiz (a brief response-several words-is all that will be needed).
Word Power-Vocabulary Quiz-Chapters 7-9: Thursday, 22 March!
Be prepared for an unannounced "binder" check sometime this week.

BOTH E and F BANDS WILL SUBMIT THE RESEARCH PAPER ON MONDAY AS PREVIOUSLY DIRECTED-ALONG WITH THE PAPER-YOU MUST RE-SUBMIT THE NOTE CARDS. IF ABSENT, YOUR ASSIGNMENT MUST BE EMAILED TO ME NO LATER THAN 1300 HOURS. NO EXCUSES-NO EXCEPTIONS-NO NOTES FROM MOM OR DAD!

Vocabulary Test: "Chapters 4-6" BOTH BANDS-Thursday, 8 March. No need to review words from previous list (Chapters 1-3).
NOTE: I have decided to "exclude" the rough draft from your TKAM research project. Hence, your research paper will be due on Thursday, 8 March-BOTH E AND F BANDS-NO EXCEPTIONS-NO EXCUSES-IF ABSENT, YOUR PAPER MUST BE EMAILED TO ME PRIOR TO THE END OF THE SCHOOL DAY.
Monday, 5 March: E Band- We will complete the viewing of A Streetcar Named Desire.
F Band-You will turn-in your note-cards, outline, and works cited page for the TKAM research project. Today, you will take the essay examination for A Streetcar...-remember to bring in the text and your notes since it is an open book test-you will have a choice of FIVE prompts-please "carefully" consider all prior to making a choice.
