At approximately 1000 hrs on Thursday, 13 December , I was informed by the Testing Coordinator in the College Office that the results for my classes will not be available until Monday, 17 December. Please be patient! Immediately upon receiving your scores, I will post them on Jupiter-then distribute the paper copy to you. If your class does not meet on Mondays, you are welcome to drop by Room 404 to receive your copy

NOTE: If I am ever absent from school, I expect you to complete the assignment that I have left with the substitute. I will grade this work-if you are marked absent from class-you will be required to complete this assignment during 37.5 minutes-therefore-it is advisable that you do not "cut" the class...just show-up and complete the work that is left.

Schedule for Week of 10 December:

Bring your copy of A Streetcar Named Desire to class everyday, unless told otherwise. Do not ask for permission to go to your locker to retrieve it-if you arrive to class unprepared-you will receive a "zero". Parents:  Perhaps your child is one of the several students from each class who always arrive unprepared and then must go to their locker to obtain their text-imagine a "Junior" neglecting to bring the required text to class? I will remember this when I am requested to write their college letter of recommendation...

Just a Reminder: SAT Vocabulary Quiz-List 9 on Friday, 7 December (SEVEN words from List 9 and THREE words from List 8)

DEAR PARENTS: I would like to inform you that your child may not have submitted an assignment that was due today, Monday, 3 December-an assignment for which the due date was posted last week. (See posting below) This assignment required the students to complete a Reading Journal for Chapters 7-9- following specific guidelines-also available on this blog. Several students simply completed a "summary", without responding to the other requirements. I urge you to sign-on to Jupiter to determine whether your child completed this assignment. The students are aware of my homework policy-I will NOT accept late homework assignments! (See the student contract for my policy.)
