Please be informed that you ONLY have to select FIVE of the quotations-follow the instructions specified for responding to each quote. Also, skip a space or two after each paragraph response. Furthermore, this assignment should be typed (word-processed). Dear Parents: In the future, I may require your signature on all assignments submitted.

By Now, I should NOT have to remind anyone of the weekly vocabulary quiz administered on Fridays. Download and print List 3 immediately (SEVEN words from List 3 and THREE words from List 2)
Maximum Time: Six Minutes! 

You must bring The Crucible text to class everyday your class meets this week. If you do not comply with this directive-you will receive a "0" for coming to class unprepared. Dear Parents: Please speak to your child about this-perhaps, your child is entering my classroom unprepared.

Schedule for Week of 17 September

NOTE: Since we have a "Band" schedule, some classes will only meet with me twice this week.
Regardless, ALL Bands will have the List 2 Vocabulary Quiz on Friday, 21 September. Recall, for this quiz, you will be tested on Seven of the words from this list and on Three of the words from List 1. (See POSTING below to download and print list 2-you were informed about this previously.)

Please Note: If absent for the Summer Reading Assessment on Tuesday, 11 September, you must report during 37 1/2 minutes (Wednesday/Thursday) or after H-Band on Friday, 14 September. I do stay late on Friday so there should not be any excuses-you will NOT be able to complete this test after this week-after all-others will not be pleased that you have had additional time to prepare. (Your friends may keep you company as long as they do not assist you with the exam.)

Schedule for Week of 10 September

As previously indicated, all Bands will take the Summer Reading Assessment on the assigned texts (The Color Purple and On the Road) on Tuesday, 11 September following the format of the Critical Lens Essay on the NYS English Regents. (Dear Parents: Your child has had practice with the writing of this essay in grades 9 and 10. We will continue with the preparation in the writing of this essay for the scheduled NYS English Regents in January, 2013.

A Reminder: SAT Vocabulary Quiz (List 1) on Friday, 14 September. You must study ALL Thirty words-you will be tested on TEN of the words (Test Format-Matching/Allocated Time-SEVEN MINUTES!)
